Suspicious Prowler Activity Reported
(June 21, 2014) – A young man knocked on the door of two residents of Purplefinch who claimed to be looking for his “grandfather’s lost dog”. When questioned by residents, he said his grandfather was Mr. Smith and lived on Patrick Place. There is no Mr. Smith on Patrick Place.
In both cases, the residents described the young man as being in his early twenties with dark hair and about 6’1” tall.
Earlier today, a white mini-van was observed several times during the day parked on the cul-de-sac at the end of Purplefinch Lane.
A report has been filed with the Morgan County Sheriff. An officer has been out to visit with residents and a picture of what appears to be a white Chrysler mini-van (no tag number was obtained) has been filed with the police.
Needless to say, this is all very suspicious. All residents of our community should be on the lookout for this young man and this white mini-van. If you observe any suspicious activity, call the Morgan County Sheriff immediately.
